Disability Access and Inclusion plan review:

The City of Whyalla is committed to making our city a welcoming and inclusive place for all people to enjoy by continually working towards an accessible and inclusive community for all.

Whyalla Council is reviewing and refreshing their inaugural Disability Access & Inclusion Plan in line with the State Government requirements, the plan adopted in 2020 in now being evaluated and measured.

State government agencies and local councils create Disability Access and Inclusion Plans (DAIPs) to make sure services and programs are accessible and inclusive for people with disability. With each DAIP aligning with priority areas set out in the State Disability Inclusion Plan ensuring a consistent approach across the state.

This is where we need your input, for the next three weeks we will be asking for feedback from the community on access and inclusion in our city, our Community Activation Team will also be meeting with local community groups to seek feedback and information on ways that we can increase inclusion in our community.
