Let us introduce ourselves

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at TBPS is a small group of dedicated parents, teachers and administrators working together to enrich the lives of our students. The PTO organizes social events for the TBPS community, fundraises to support field trips and grants, and supports special school and community projects.

We meet monthly on the first Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. in the conference room near the main office. Join us!

Please take this survey to learn more about the PTO and ways you can get involved.

* 1. Please check any event you may be able to volunteer for in 2015/2016:

* 2. The PTO fundraises approximately $6000 each year, and awards grants to teachers, parents and community members to enhance the educational experience of students. Money has been granted for field trips to the Flynn Theater, cross country skiing, preschool music/movement, playground toys, Girls on the Run, Mileage Club and Dairy in the Classroom.

On average, how much money does your child raise in the Meadow Farm's fundraiser each year?

* 3. If you would prefer to simply donate money to help reach our goal of $6000, you currently have two options: Make a check out to TBPS - PTO and send it in with your child, or go to our "Go Fund Me” account at: http://www.gofundme.com/thatcherbrookpto

Do you have other ideas to raise money for the PTO?

* 4. The PTO has, in the past, produced a Student Directory with contact information for each student/family in the school as a way to help families connect outside of school. Last year, this directory was only available through an online link sent via Blackboard Connect.

If you have a preference for a paper directory, do you have the time/talent to create one in a PDF format for electronic distribution?

* 5. The PTO is initiating Four Winds Nature Institute program to replace the ELF program. This a parent/teacher partnership and volunteer opportunity for parents to engage students in science and environmental learning once per month. The Four Winds coordinator will offer parent education sessions before the lessons at a time that is convenient for volunteers.

Are you able/interested in teaching a lesson for your child(rens) classroom?

* 6. If you want to volunteer, please give us your contact information:
