General Description. We invite community members and organizations to submit workshop proposals. We prefer that more than one organization be represented by the workshop presenters. In most cases, the workshops will start with brief presentations by the workshop presenters, and then allow a generous portion of the time for discussion and planning by all participants. We are open to other formats, but in that case the format must be explained below.

Proposal Selection Procedure. Workshop proposals will be reviewed by the Workshop Subcommittee, which will make reports and recommendations to the full Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee. The full committee has the final say on accepting or rejecting proposals. If similar topics are submitted, the Workshop Subcommittee may recommend combining two or more proposals to a single workshop. No commitments to accept workshop proposals will be made by individuals or by the subcommittee until there is approval by the full committee.

Priority will be given to workshop proposals submitted by November 25th.  By submitting a workshop proposal you affirm that you have read and understand our guidelines and procedure.
