The aims of this meeting would be to enhance collaboration between clinical, academic, science, and patient organisations, with a view to:
  • Understand how researchers and patients can work together to benefit clinical care, patient outcomes, and scientific advances
  • Understand what best practice looks like in patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) in research
    • Share examples of priority setting partnerships in endocrine conditions, with a view to accessing dedicated funding streams
        • Network between members and Patient Support Groups to enhance research grant applications
        The meeting will revolve around participation from attendees, and there will be lots of time for networking and collaboration.

        3. James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership in PCOS (15 minutes)
        4. Basic science grant proposal case study (15 minutes)
        5. Co-designing research with patient organisations (15 minutes)
        6. Patient support group case study (15 minutes)
        7. Close out and next steps (10 minutes)
