Revisiting The Benefits of Structural Masonry

Learn about the newest masonry systems being developed and the details that make structural masonry even more cost effective. In addition, learn about a new concept of “hybrid” masonry/steel design featuring load-sharing reinforced masonry infill in a structural steel frame that utilizes a new, innovative structural software program to efficiently perform a whole building analysis of both load bearing and “hybrid” masonry systems.

Adjunct Speaker: Lawrence J. O'Connor, P.E., L.S. of the International Accreditation Service (IAS) will provide an overview of special inspection guidelines for masonry construction and further training resources for masonry special inspections in New York City.
