The Fair Trading Commission has commissioned a consumer survey on the Hotel Industry in Barbados as part of its mandate to evaluate the quality and level of service delivery across economic sectors in Barbados. The aim of this exercise is to gain a greater understanding of the Accommodation Sector in particular; identify the issues that are affecting customers; and address these issues in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, CAP. 326D.

This short questionnaire is directed to persons 21 years of age or older, who have spent at least one (1) night at any of the paid accommodation facilities (e.g. hotels, resorts, shared/hosted accommodation - Airbnb) in Barbados.

The Commission would therefore appreciate if you would share your experience/perceptions regarding the entire engagement period (i.e. from booking, arrival, check-in, stay, to departure).

Participation is voluntary. Your opinion is important to us and the results will remain confidential.

Thank you for your cooperation.
