Are You the Next Five Borough Challenge Champion?

The Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge team will consist of five people - one from each borough of New York City - who have drawn inspiration from running in order to face a significant challenge in their lives. So tell us your personal story. Examples of a challenge may include overcoming cancer, beating drug addiction, military deployment or finding time to balance a career, running and a family. We are open to any and all stories of personal triumph.

The criteria is simple:
-Already be registered for the marathon
-We need runners who will finish between 3:30 - 4:00 hours
-You need to live in one of the five NYC boroughs
-Have overcome a challenging obstacle
-Be willing to run together as a team for the first half of the TCS New York City Marathon

The Challenge team members will run the TCS New York City Marathon on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Please complete the application and submit it on or before the deadline of August 15th, 2019. In the application, the questions with the asterisk (*) are required.

The Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge participants are treated as VIPs during race week, including their own start time, finish and awards on the WABC-TV, Channel 7 television broadcast. Challenge team members run the first 13.1 miles of the marathon together; after that, they compete for the title of Foot Locker Five Borough Challenge Champion. The winner receives a Tiffany & Co. trophy and citywide bragging rights.

We will choose one individual resident to represent each borough: Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island.
