This year, we are honoring women who are revolutionizing the energy and environmental sectors. Even in an era of heightened awareness of women’s critical role in advancing conservation and climate action, and accelerating the transition to clean energy, the rate of women’s leadership across the sectors still lags. But in Maryland, women are making strides in the environment and energy innovation, radiating leadership towards a healthier planet and a green economy, and paving the way for others. Women leaders in our state are breaking barriers, advocating for change, and lifting up their communities.
We want to thank and celebrate these incredible women - those who are radiating leadership, driving green innovation, fighting climate change, and championing access to sustainable resources. Their work is igniting positive, lasting change across society and renewing our planet.
Presented by The Center Club, the Women in Business Trailblazers Award has celebrated exceptional women in key industries since 2012. Over the past 14 years, 60 women have been honored. The 2026 Trailblazers in Energy and the Environment Award has been created to recognize women who exemplify leadership, advocacy, and innovation in the energy and environmental space, as well as the values of The Center Club.
We are looking for women who have taken on the challenge of improving environmental sustainability, clean energy access, and climate equity—those whose work has inspired their organizations, sectors, and/or communities. How have you led the transition to a greener future in creative, inclusive, and impactful ways? We are looking for true trailblazers—pioneers and change-makers in this ever-evolving field.

The Women in Business of The Center Club will be recognizing these leaders at an awards dinner on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 5–8 PM.
Women, and those who identify as women, can be nominated or self-nominated. All nominations must be submitted by Thursday, June 18, 2026, and only completed applications will be considered. Honorees do not need to be members of The Center Club, but must be able to attend the dinner on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
