Guardianship of Adults with Disabilities

This webinar will help parents think about how to balance their hopes for their son or daughter with a disability to be as independent as possible once they turn 18 with their desire to continue to make decisions related to their child's health and safety. Georgia's Medical Consent Law will be discussed, as well a Powers of Attorney, Advanced Directives for Healthcare and the parent's ability to be their child's Representative Payee. The Guardianship and Conservatorship processes will be also explained in detail.
