Pier to Pier Market Demand and Willingness to Use (Malibu/Santa Monica/Marina Del Rey Ferry Transportation) R1

We are launching a new, exciting transportation opportunity that aims to improve mobility, reduce traffic congestion, improve safety on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), boost tourism and local revenues. Our goal is to provide a convenient ferry/taxi service between Malibu and Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey (offices on Jefferson, shopping and dining on Abbot Kinney, uber to LAX), with potential for future extensions up and down the coast in preparation for the 2026 World Cup and LA28 Olympics.
The initial service will operate a 50-foot covered boat, accommodating 30 to 40 passengers. Travel time between Malibu and Santa Monica will range from 18 to 30 minutes, depending on conditions.
To help gauge local interest and assess the demand for this service, we need your valuable input. As a resident of Malibu and greater Los Angeles County, your feedback is crucial in shaping the future of this initiative. This survey will help us understand your preferences, willingness to use such services, and how best we can tailor this transportation option to meet the needs of the community.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey. Your responses will remain confidential and will be used solely for the purpose of this research.
