Application - Terms and Conditions

Ozflix TV (www.ozflix.tv) is now streaming short films and web series, from January 2019. The films must be made in Australia, or made by an Australian, even if filmed outside of the country.

Below is a survey of information about you and your film. You will need to complete every field for your film to be eligible for streaming on the Ozflix service. You may submit more than one film, but each film needs a new Application completed.

Your film can be any style, content, genre, length (up to 59 minutes) and made at any time. There are no restrictions, however Ozflix reserves the right to reject your film if it is in any way offensive or deemed unsuitable, or has severe technical limitations. You will be advised if this is the case.

Many of the films accepted on the Ozflix Shorts service will be offered for free to audiences, however Ozflix will actively curate, market and monetise some of the short films and web series we are offered. Monetised films will share any revenue from advertising or brand support with filmmakers on a 50/50 basis.

To be monetised, these films will need to be:
1. exclusive to Ozflix, at least in Australia, if not globally
2. of a high standard creatively and technically
3. appealing to a wide audience
4. capable of being bundled with other films and brand supported

If your film meets these criteria, we will advise you in advance. You will be offered an opportunity to monetise your film, and can choose whether or not to participate. Ozflix will carry out all necessary sales representation, and report and pay you regularly. Separate licensing contracts will be issued to monetised films, and you will have the opportunity to seek legal advice before signing any such contract.

Once this Application has been accepted, we will email you an Invitation to Upload, which will have the details necessary to upload your film to the Ozflix site. It will be published (go 'live') after we have previewed it as to suitability. By submitting this Application, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, and agree that your film can be streamed by Ozflix Pty Ltd. The copyright in your film remains at all time with the copyright creator or administrator.

If at any time you are unhappy with your film being on the service or unable to keep offering it, you can write to us and request to take the film down from the service, and we will have 30 days to complete that request.
