The Town of Canton is leading the development of Part I of a Local Waterfront Revitalization Program with its partner municipalities in the Towns of De Kalb and Oswegatchie and Villages of Richville, Rensselaer Falls and Heuvelton.
 
An approved LWRP reflects community consensus and provides a clear direction for appropriate future development. It establishes a long-term partnership among local governments, community-based organizations, and the State.
 
For Part I of the LWRP, we are inviting the public to tell us how they use the Oswegatchie and where the river corridor's special places are.
