The City of Orillia is creating a Public Art Master Plan.  A Master Plan is a tool to help plan for public art throughout the city by establishing a process for Orillia to acquire, manage and maintain public art.  The Master Plan will also identify public art project types, locations and potential themes.

The Master Plan process is being led by the non-profit arts organization Cobalt Connects Creativity. Cobalt Connects has managed public collections in numerous Ontario cities for the past 12 years, and actively collaborates with artists throughout Ontario.

We want to connect with local artists to make sure that the Public Art Master Plan serves the needs of local artists and the public. This survey builds on what was learned through the survey conducted by the Art in Public Spaces Committee, and is designed to help us:

(1)   Get to know you and your practice
(2)   Understand what learning and professional development activities
might enhance local artist engagement in future public art projects
(3)   Gain your artistic perspective on the future of public art in Orillia

All information gathered in this survey will only be shared in aggregate form with City staff. We will only link specific answers to individuals after receiving your prior written consent.

Thank you for your participation.  If you have any questions or comments our contact information will be on the final slide of the survey.
