Oregon Measure 120 is the referral (via Referendum Petition 2026-302) of key provisions from Senate Bill 1599, which rescheduled parts of House Bill 3991—a transportation funding bill passed by the Democrat-controlled legislature and signed by Governor Tina Kotek in 2025. Originally intended for the November 2026 general election ballot, the measure was moved to the May 2026 primary after approximately 250,000 Oregonians signed the petition with the understanding it would appear in November. The measure would increase the state gas tax by 6 cents per gallon (from 40 to 46 cents), raise vehicle registration fees by an average of $42 and title fees from $77 to $216, double the payroll tax for public transit from 0.1% to 0.2%, and require a per-mile road usage charge for electric and hybrid vehicles starting in 2027. Revenue would fund road maintenance, bridges, and public transit. If the May primary election were held today, would you vote YES to approve these changes or NO to reject them?
Yes, approve
No, reject
Undecided
