State Building Department Offers FREE CEU Training

Understand the features and capabilities of the new Division of Industrial Compliance plans and permitting portal with this FREE continuing education opportunity. The training is open to all commercial contractors, licensed contractors, design professionals, and BBS certified personnel. Instructors from Ohio’s Career Centers and students are invited to attend as well.

Session topics will include:
*New Division of Industrial Compliance Portal for all things related to plans review and permitting with the state of Ohio.

 

*Step-by-step process related to the division’s virtual inspection services offered through the Bureau of Building Code Compliance for structural, plumbing, electrical and HVAC inspections.

*Licensing requirements for Ohio commercial contractors through the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board.

2019 sessions will be offered around the state, each beginning at 8 a.m. and concluding by 12 noon. Presentation schedule is as follows:

This training provides four (4) total hours of continuing education through the Ohio Board of Building Standards and the Ohio Construction Industry Licensing Board.

 

Staff from OCILB, BCC and BBS will be on hand to answer questions at each event.
