Introduction

The following survey asks questions to obtain your feedback on two employment policy changes that could be made in the near future in Colorado:

1. Colorado minimum salary for employees exempt from overtime pay. Colorado has proposed a salary of $42,500 in July 2020 which increases to $57,500 by 2026 ($3,000 increase per year). For years after 2026, this will be increased for inflation. Under federal law, the federal salary for exempt employees, increases to $35,568 in Jan. 2020.

2. Higher minimum wage for individuals working in Denver
Denver recently adopted an hourly wage amount of $12.85 in 2020, $14.77 in 2021, $15.87 in 2022, and annual increases for inflation.
[We are no longer collecting information on Denver Minimum Wage at this time through this survey - we will reach out when we have revised or created new forms of feedback regarding this issue.]

The survey asks all respondents for their perspectives as nonprofit employees. If you are responsible for human resources, then you will be asked additional questions about your organization.

For questions with numbers, we encourage you to give you best estimate rather than an exact calculation.  Responses to this survey will only be reported in aggregate form. Individual responses will be kept confidential. Contact information is requested in the survey for any follow up or key updates. If you have any questions, email Mark at mturner@coloradononprofits.org

Please complete the survey by close of business on Friday December 13.
