OTC Foster application

Overview:

Thankyou for your interest in becoming an OTC foster carer! Foster carers are the backbone of our rescue and it is a highly valued role within our group. Below are some guidelines for you to consider before you apply to foster.

It is crucial that OTC foster carers understand what is expected of them and adhere to these expectations at all times. Having a foster carer who does not follow guidelines is more problematic than no foster home at all.

There will be an agreement for you to sign once you are signed on as a foster carer which clearly explains your rights and responsibilities, and ours.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Collecting your foster from a public location or residential address
- Attending vet appointments with your foster
- Bathing/grooming your foster
- Feeding and toilet training your foster (food is provided by the rescue)
- Training your foster to follow basic commands
- Walking your foster & providing mental enrichment
- Submit 5+ good quality photos each week of your foster
- Bring the pet to events/meets or have the pet readily available for collection at a mutually agreeable time
- Provide feedback on behaviour and personality to OTC admins

Please complete the following form and we will be in touch as soon as possible! If you are able to foster then you will be asked to join our Foster forum/group on Facebook which is where you can connect with the leadership team and other foster carers. Please be ready to begin fostering right away or advise your start date; most of our cases are extremely urgent!
