Otay Mesa MAD Survey |
Otay Mesa Property Owners and the Chamber are studying the possibility of forming a Maintenance Assessment District (MAD). We have asked you to participate in this survey because your property is currently within the proposed boundaries. The survey should take about 4-7 minutes of your time, and will allow us to gather information regarding the type of services that are most important to you.
MADs are a stable funding source for organizations of property owners working to improve their district. Owners within the district work together to make significant improvements, attract and retain tenants and businesses, develop the area and provide needed services above and beyond the levels the City currently provides.
MADs can have many functions, all of which are aimed at improving the areas within the district. A MADs operations are determined by the property owners funding the MAD, and would be managed and controlled by the property owners themselves. MAD activities often include security services, clean up and maintenance services, capital improvements, marketing programs and many other significant progressive projects.
Please take a moment to complete this survey – your input is what will make the Otay Mesa MAD formation a possibility. If we determine that there is enough support to move forward to the MAD formation phase, your answers to these questions will help us develop an initial service plan and cost estimates for those services.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Alejandra Mier y Teran, Executive Director of the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce, at (619) 661-6111 ext 7, or via email at amieryteran@otaymesa.org
