The IHI Open School’s Change Agent of the Year award is offered annually to an exemplary student or trainee who demonstrates strong knowledge and application of improvement science, community organizing, and leadership of their IHI Open School Chapter. The award celebrates the powerful role that students play in leading change on a local level and on a global scale to improve health and health care worldwide.
The award covers the cost of General Conference fees for the National Forum, and up to $1,000 for travel, lodging, or other Forum expenditures (including registration for Learning Labs or Quick Courses at the National Forum).
Applicants must be a currently enrolled, full-time student or trainee (including but not limited to those in medical, nursing, pharmacy, social work, hospital administration, engineering programs, dentistry programs, etc) and involved as a leader in their local IHI Open School Chapter for at least one year.
