The City of Orillia is creating a Public Art Master Plan.  A Master Plan is a tool to help plan for public art throughout the city by establishing a process for Orillia to acquire, manage and maintain public art.  The Master Plan will also identify public art project types, locations and potential themes.

The Master Plan process is being led by the non-profit arts organization Cobalt Connects Creativity. Cobalt Connects has managed public collections in numerous Ontario cities for the past 12 years, actively collaborates with artists throughout Ontario, and has worked with dozens of BIAs and multiple Chambers of Commerce over the past 20 years.

In creating a Public Art Master Plan, it is important to connect with local businesses and property owners to understand their interest in public art within the city’s streetscape.

This survey builds on what was learned through the survey conducted by the Art in Public Spaces Committee, and is designed to help us:

(1)   Introduce you to the Public Art Master Plan project
(2)   Gauge your interest and understanding of the public art process
(3)   Gain your perspective on how local business, the City and artists can
        work together

All information gathered in this survey will be shared in aggregate form only - no specific people or businesses names will be shared without prior consent.

Thank you for your participation.  If you have any questions or comments our contact information will be on the final slide of the survey.
