The Oregon Department of Education seeks to develop Social Sciences Standards that ensure that students are prepared for college, career, and civic life. The standards aim to reflect the need for equity and ensure instruction meets the needs of diverse learners. The Oregon Museums Association has been invited to submit recommendations for revisions at a summit taking place at the end of July and we would like to share your input.

There will be multiple opportunities for summit participants, other constituents, and the public to provide input throughout the standards review and revision process. The process should be completed by early 2018 for State Board of Education approval.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
