This workshop would benefit professionals in both non-profit or for-profit industries, including HR Professionals, Management and Supervisory Staff, Executive Directors.

In this workshop, participants will learn about key practices to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace for LGBTQ2+ employees. Participants will be provided with information about Bill C-16, its implications for Canadian workplaces, and suggestions for application.

Best Practices for GSA Creation & Growth

This workshop is most beneficial to schools who wish to start or get further support for their Gay Straight Alliance Club. This workshop explores common issues schools that affect LGBTQ2+ students, how GSA can help create a safer and more inclusive environment and tips for creating a engaging GSA club for students.

LGBTQ2+ 101 Creating Inclusive Spaces

This workshop focuses on what it means to create a positive and inclusive space for the LGBTQ2+ community. It can be adapted for non-profits, business, summer camps and schools.

LGBTQ2+ 101 and Anti-Bullying

This workshop is specifically designed for grade 7 to 12 students. This workshop focuses on supporting students will understand the definitions of LGBTQ2+, common bullying issues in schools and facilitates a conversation on how students can be a part of creating a safer and more inclusive space for everyone.

This workshop will be most beneficial to individuals interacting with the school system, including teachers, parents or guardians, mental health professionals, child and youth workers, guidance counsellors.

This workshop will provide participants an opportunity to understand the unique needs and experiences of LGBTQ2+ students in the school system. This workshop will provide practical suggestions for how adults can encourage, develop, and provide inclusive and affirming supports for LGBTQ2+ students.  Participants will also learn about gender identity development and key support practices.

Trans 101 Creating Inclusive Spaces

This workshop will be most beneficial to anyone looking to develop knowledge about gender identity, which may include community members, parents, social service providers, and teachers.

This workshop will explore a range of topics related to gender identity, including terminology and key concepts. This workshop is ideal for anyone who would like to learn about transgender identities and experiences. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from group discussion

Working with Gender Independent and Transgender Children and Youth

This workshop will be most beneficial to mental health professionals, such as social workers, therapists, counsellors, support workers.

Participants in this training will gain an understanding of Affirmative Therapy, which will provide information about how to support transgender clients in an affirming and inclusive way through the application of therapeutic frameworks that are trauma informed and can be easily applied in combination with any therapeutic approach. Participants will also further develop their understanding of gender identity, development and expression as well as learn key factors around supporting clients social, medical and legal transition needs.

 Polyamory and you and you…Best Practices for Supporting Poly and Non-Monogamous Clients

This workshop will be most beneficial to mental health professionals, such as social workers, therapists, counsellors, support workers, as well as those curious to know more about poly relationships/dynamics.

Participants in this training will gain an understanding of the dynamics of polyamorous relationships and best practices for supporting poly clients, which will include Affirmative Therapy practices. Participants will also further develop their understanding of terminology, polyamory dynamics, the impact of stereotypes and barriers service users may experience when engaging community supports.

Supporting LGBTQ2+ Families, including Bill 89

This workshop will be most beneficial to mental health professionals, such as social workers, therapists, counsellors, support workers.

This workshop will explore the key practices in supporting LGBTQ2+ families, with a specific focus on parents and siblings of transgender youth. We also learn about the implications of Bill 89 and how it relates to supporting transgender youth.

Aging with Pride: Key Mental Health Considerations for LGBTQ2+ Seniors

This workshop will be most beneficial to mental health professionals, such as social workers, therapists, counsellors, support workers.

This workshop will focus on the unique needs and experiences of LGBTQ2+ older adults when accessing mental health care. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of the historical role of the medical and mental health system in relation to the LGBTQ2+ community in Canada and current day challenges for aging LGBTQ2+ community members.
