This is the first time OHBM is encouraging presenters to use automatic subtitles. While not yet perfect for accents and technical terms, accuracy is improving with better training data (e.g., Whisper AI reports a 2% word error rate from 500,000 hours of audio).

We are also working on addressable challenges including speakers using their own laptops, pre-recorded Zoom talks, and moderator introductions or audience Q&A.

8.If deemed accurate enough, would you like to have automated translation from native language eg Mandarin, Cantonese, French etc to English?
