Each year, Organic Farmers Association issues a broad nomination process to gain new leadership to fill open seats in our Governing Council and Policy Committee.

Governing Council 2025 Open Seats:

Western Region: Farmer & Organization
North Central Region: Farmer & Organization
Midwest Region: Farmer
Southern Region: Farmer
Northeast Region: Farmer & Organization

Policy Committee 2025 Open Seats:
California Region: Farmer
Western Region: Farmer & Organization
North Central Region: Farmer
Midwest Region: Farmer & Organization
Southern Region: Farmer & Organization
Northeast Region: Farmer

The 2025 nomination process will accept candidates until September 29, 2024. Organic Farmers Association Farm Members will vote on the candidates for both leadership bodies during the month of October. Newly elected members will join the committees in March 2025. Terms are two years.

All candidates must be current OFA members.
Open seats are for either: certified organic farmers or staff or board members from non-profit organic farming organizations who serve certified organic farmers as all or a significant portion of their stakeholders.
