Lori Blansett, FNP is a Nurse Practitioner Specialist in Tupelo, Mississippi. She graduated with honors in 2018  from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing, with a Masters of Science in Nursing.  Lori is a valuable part of the NMMC Palliative Care Team. 
Lucas McElwain, MD is board certified in Geriatrics and Internal Medicine.  He is a member of the American Geriatrics Society(AGS) and the American Medical Directors Association(AMDA).  Dr. McElwain has received many awards to include:   AMDA Foundation Futures program and scholarship awardee (2015), Southeast Center of Excellence in Geriatric Medicine summit awardee (2012), W Forrest Hutchison Memorial Scholarship (2009) – (elected by medical school peers for service to medically underserved community).He has a passion for hospice care and is very comfortable presenting at local, regional and national conferences. Dr. McElwain joined NMMC in 2015 as a Geriatrician / Palliative Care Physician.

Target Audience:
This activity is intended for internal medicine, family medicine and primary care physicians and advance practice clinicians.

Learner outcome:
Self-report a knowledge gain of the nature of the virus, the societal aspects of coping with the effects both during and after illness along with the prevention and mitigation of infection in schools.

Medium / combination of media used: 
This activity consists of an educational component (slides, audio lecture) in an electronic format, followed by an online post-test and participant self-reflection / declaration of learning.  Estimated time to complete this activity, including review of materials is one hour.
