Emergency Preparedness - What Do YOU Want to Know?

As we prepare for National Preparedness Month, Orange County Emergency Management wants to hear from you.

We spend a lot of time sharing information we think the public needs to know about emergencies and disasters. This September, we want to turn that around and answer the questions you actually have.

Submit your questions below. Throughout September, we’ll use your questions to help explain how emergency management works, what happens during disasters, and what you can do before, during, and after an emergency.
1.What would you like to know about what happens BEFORE an emergency or disaster?
Examples might include preparedness, warnings and alerts, evacuation planning, emergency supplies, or how the County prepares.
2.What would you like to know about what happens DURING an emergency or disaster?
Examples might include road closures, evacuations, shelters, States of Emergency, the Emergency Operations Center, power outages, or who is responsible for what.
3.What would you like to know about what happens AFTER an emergency or disaster?
Examples might include documenting damage, debris cleanup, recovery assistance, FEMA, disaster declarations, or when roads and services reopen.
4.Please provide any additional comments or questions you have.
5.Which municipality are you from?
