Education – Plans quality educational classes for our members, including CE, Designations, and non-CE classes. Produces REALTOR® Fest & Tech Fair, a (bi)annual education event and expo. Meets 6-7x as needed. Open to all. REALTOR®Fest & Tech Fair Task Force– Produces annual educational event & expo. Meets 4-5x to plan the event. Membership & Member Services – Conducts member & affiliate outreach, considers member services, plans member socials, and produces the annual survey. Meets 4-5x as needed. Open to all. Question Title * 3. Concerned with Advocacy or Community Involvement? Bowling Tournament – Plan the Tournament which is held in March and benefits the Scholarship & Disaster Funds. Meets 3-4x in Jan-March. Open to all. Golf Tournament – Plan the Tournament which is held in late May to benefit the Scholarship & Disaster Funds. Meets 4-5x February-May. Open to all. Surf Fishing Tournament – Plan the Tournament which is held in October to benefit the Scholarship & Disaster Funds. Meets 4-5x July-October. Open to all. Scholarship* – Interviews high school senior applicants. Meets 2-3x in April; Must attend ALL meetings. Members are selected and notified in March. Legislative* - Monitors legislation & regulation; Organizes action. Meets 6-8x as needed (2 year term). Members are selected and notified in January. REALTOR®PAC Fundraising* – Supports our core advocacy efforts. Meets 1-2x as needed. Members are selected and notified in January. Good Neighbor League – Recognizes good REALTOR® Neighbors. Meets 1-2x as needed and via email. Open to all. Question Title * 4. How about the nuts and bolts of OBAR Governance and Professional Standards? Bylaws & Policy* - Reviews policy and makes recommendations. Meets 1-2x as needed. Members are selected and notified in January. (2 year term) Finance & Budget* – Reviews financials; Crafts annual budget. Meets monthly as needed. Members are selected and notified in January. (2 year term) Grievance/Professional Standards* – Reviews and conducts hearings of all ethics complaints and requests for arbitration in accordance with NAR’s Code of Ethics and Arbitration Manual. All must attend annual training. Members are selected and notified in January. (Grievance: 3yr term, Pro Standards: 3yr term) Panels of each committee meet only as needed. Young Professionals Network (YPN) - Helps real estate professionals excel in their careers by giving them the tools and encouragement to become involved in four core areas: REALTOR® Association, real estate industry, peers and community. Meets monthly. Open to members and affiliates of all ages. *These size-limited committees are determined by the committee chairs in January. All others are contacted via email when needed.
