The OAH’s Graduate Student Committee is planning a session for the 2025 OAH conference (April 3-6, 2025, Chicago, Illinois) focusing on the state of graduate education in History and related fields. The purpose of this session will be to generate candid discussion and establish actionable aims concerning graduate labor, academic and non-academic career development, DEI and accessibility, and other pressing issues. As the representative voice for graduate interests within the OAH, our committee asks for your input on matters critical to assessing and improving the state of graduate education.

Your feedback will also help us prepare for our 2024 caucus in New Orleans, at which we aim to solicit additional input that will help us plan a more productive session for the 2025 meeting.

This survey is anonymous. If you would like to discuss your thoughts, share concerns, or have more general questions about graduate student involvement in the OAH, please reach out to either Andrew Gerstenberger, Graduate Student Committee chair, at atg4223@nyu.edu, or Brigid Wallace, Graduate Student Committee member, at bcw321@lehigh.edu.
