Needs Assessment Survey (November, 2020)
Dear All:
Back in June the Toronto Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPs) conducted a survey to determine the most pressing newcomer needs at the outset of the Covid-19 emergency.
As the Covid-19 emergency continues to unfold and our communities have begun to transition to a “new normal,” we feel it is crucial to continue capturing the evolving needs of newcomer communities so that they can be reflected in both short and long term program planning initiatives. To this end, we ask that you again take the time to complete the newcomer needs survey, providing us with an updated snapshot in time.
Your feedback will be used to inform our participation in the various community response efforts currently underway, including the work of the United Way/City of Toronto Neighbourhood Clusters, The Community Response table at the City of Toronto and the National Settlement and Integration Council.
This quick survey is organized by thematic areas based on priorities that have been emerging through our networks. Please feel free to add additional thematic areas in the “other” category, and please be as specific as possible with your responses. For example, listing “lack of affordable housing” in the housing category is a little too vague; we would prefer to see: “unwillingness by landlords to defer rent,” as a very specific example of a need.
