Community Survey - Nottingham Ridge |
Thank you for completing the Nottingham Ridge Community Survey
You may be familiar with the proposed Nottingham Ridge development on the 80-acre site between Route 7 and I-95, north of White Marsh Blvd. Developers originally planned for 1,250 multi-family housing units, 1.3 million square feet of office space, 393,500 square feet of retail and restaurants, and a 500-room hotel. Today, a new development team is proposing to decrease the office space to 250,000 square feet, increase the retail portion of the project to 661,000 square feet, shrink the size of the hotel (from 500 rooms to 130) and decrease the number of apartments from 1,250 to 250.
While the County Council called these proposed changes “major” in scope, the project will nevertheless move forward with no process and little opportunity for community input or any Community Benefits Agreement. Instead, an administrative law judge will make the final decision to approve or deny the project on June 19th.
Local stakeholders, including the White Marsh Mall, THE AVENUE at White Marsh and Nottingham Square, would like to engage the community to weigh the potential benefits and concerns of such a major project coming to our area. Eventually, we hope to identify ways that we can work together as a larger community to make sure that our collective voice has an impact on local development decisions.
