Nominate your favorite Business Owner for the 2019 Haas Entrepreneur of the Year

“Think of a small business that you depend on that has made a difference in our community. Nominate a business that you depend on, that if they weren’t here, our community would not be the same.” requests Amy Shapiro, Franklin County CDC's Business Development Director.

The 2019 Haas Entrepreneur Award will be presented to a business owner whose business has at least 3 full time jobs (including their own), has been in business for 5 or more years, has made a commitment to improve our community through social responsibility, environmental sustainability, financial contributions and volunteer time.

The Haas Entrepreneur of the Year award is named after Dick Haas, founder of Sugarhill Containers and owner of Hillside Plastics. Dick and Janet believed in family, hard work, and community and their business reflects these values. This award was initiated to honor business owners who make Franklin County special by balancing entrepreneurship, family and community. Past awardees include: PV Squared, Alber Hearing Services, Elmer's Store, Hillside Pizza, Zoar Outdoor, Small Corp and People's Pint.
