WOWC Newcomer Readiness Checklist |
Grey Bruce Local Immigration Partnership (GBLIP) Project Description
By completing the Western Ontario Wardens’ Caucus (WOWC) Newcomer Readiness Checklist, you will be contributing to a collaborative approach that meets the needs of our new residents. Measuring different areas of a welcoming community through this tool will help us identify the gaps and areas of improvement needed in our local communities.
After completing the survey, you will receive an email with your indiviual scores that will help identify areas of focus for newcomer and immigrant attraction and retention efforts. Upon completion of the project your community will receive a report that can be used to gain a clearer picture of the overall results.
Grey Bruce Local Immigration Partnership (GBLIP) is funded by Immigration Refugee Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Launched in 2020 by Grey and Bruce Counties, GBLIP works at the local level to foster a community that is welcoming and inclusive and to support newcomers in becoming fully engaged in the social, economic, political, and cultural life of Grey and Bruce Counties. This project is in collaboration with: the Town of Hanover, the Four County Labour Market Planning Board, the Saugeen Economic Development Corporation, and the Western Ontario Warden's Cacus; funded by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
