New Start High School is seeking input from students, staff and faculty, and stakeholders to define our vision, mission, and value statements. Below is the definition of each:

· Vision – the vision describes a successful and desirable future state for a school. It’s a big goal the school wants to achieve.
· Mission – the mission describes the reason a school exists. It helps employees and others know what the organization is trying to accomplish, is academically focused, and provides direction for improvement efforts.
· Values – values are shared principles or core beliefs that guide the actions of employees in an institution. People need to personally accept the organizational values to feel comfortable working in an entity. Organizational values are strong convictions that help employees make “the right decisions” in the workplace every day.

Your input will help us further identify our vision, mission, and values for New Start High School. Our goal is to come together with a common focus, make this information transparent, and use this as a guide for decision-making now and in our future. We will ask for further input before these statements are finalized.

This survey should take about 10 minutes and all responses will be confidential.
