In order to address new/emerging therapies and the field of complementary and alternative medicine, the ACCME’s new Standard 1 requires Accredited Providers to ensure accredited education in these areas is “clearly identified as such within the program and individual presentations” and the education does not promote practices “not, or not yet, adequately based on current science, evidence, and clinical reasoning.”
