In support of National Good Neighbor Day 2021

Acts of neighborliness are often simple gestures that help us be a good neighbor, lift up others, or make our community a place we love. We invite you to take part in our 1,000 Acts of Neighborliness Challenge for one week -- from September 26 to October 2 – as a way to celebrate National Good Neighbor Day on Sept. 28.  The goal is for our Greene County residents to achieve 1,000 acts of kindness toward neighbors living near them. Tell us what act of neighboring you or your family did during the week. If it’s visual, take a photo and send it via email to greeneco@missouri.edu. Please share about these acts of neighborliness and get yourself entered in our contest and drawings by completing this survey.

Residents from outside of Greene County area also eligible for prizes. There will be three prizes of $100 each for three best examples of neighboring outside of Greene County along with $100 in gift cards determined by random drawing among entries.

NEW: Webster County now has $500 in award money for actions taken in that county! So record those actions here too!

Thanks to our sponsors for making this effort possible: Greene County MU Extension Council, Greene County Commission, Community Foundation of the Ozarks, Springfield-Greene County Library, KY3, KOLR-TV10, Springfield News-Leader, Greene County Commonwealth, and Unite News.
