Dey Mansion Garden Barn & Site Improvements Project Survey

The Friends of Passaic County Parks, Inc. proposes a new project entitled Dey Mansion Barn & Site Improvements. Dey Mansion was the home of Col. Thenuis Dey who offered his home to General Washington and the Continental Army in the summer and fall of 1780. The site is listed on the State and National Register of Historic Places. The full scope of work for the proposed park development project will include an enhanced planting area to serve as active gardens, embedded between new proposed amenities and historic structures on the property, an irrigated lawn, recreation walkways, visitor center, and accessibility features to provide access to visitors of all abilities.

A full concept plan showing the proposed changes and a preliminary cost estimate can be found at: www.passaiccountynj.org/dcha
