Abstract Submission 14th Annual PCRN Symposium 2025

The theme for the 14th Annual Palliative Care Research Network Symposium is ‘Research and Policy: Working Together to Improve Palliative Care’ which will take place on Thursday 20 November in the Wood Quay Venue, Dublin 8.
The Symposium will provide a knowledge sharing and networking opportunity for all stakeholders with an interest in palliative care research.


AIIHPC invites members of AIIHPC’s Palliative Care Research Network (PCRN) and Early Career Researcher Forum (ECRF) to submit an abstract for oral or poster presentation. Submitted abstracts should relate to this year’s symposium theme: ‘Research and Policy: Working Together to Improve Palliative Care’


If you are new to research or presenting and would like advice on whether your idea for an abstract is suitable, please get in touch. Support on preparing for your oral or poster presentation will also be available to early career members whose abstracts are accepted. Abstract reviewing criteria:


1. Relevance to this year’s symposium theme ‘Research and Policy: Working Together to Improve Palliative Care’
2. Clear impact for palliative care
3. Clarity of communication e.g. plain English and accessible language


Presentation formats
Abstracts submitted will be considered for short oral presentation followed by Q&A, or for poster presentation. Please indicate your presentation preferences in the form below. By default, abstracts will be considered for both formats.
Abstract text requirements

1. Please write in plain English, and explain any acronyms or abbreviations.
2. The abstract text should not exceed 300 words (excluding title and authors).
3. Do not include any information about authors or affiliations in the abstract text
