APA Central Section Membership Survey
Dear APA California Central Section Members –
We are excited to kick off 2020! We are looking forward to an exciting year and to hearing your feedback as we prepare programs and events throughout the year.
We encourage you to take our first annual 2020 survey. In the survey, you’ll be asked questions about what kinds of programs you’re interested in, what dates might work well for you, and whether you would be interested in volunteering to create a broader range of Section activities. We have a variety of goals for this year, one of which is to offer more programs and social events with geographic diversity throughout our large region. We want to hear from you. Would you like more social events? Would you like more programs? Perhaps a combination of the two? Are you interested in spearheading some of these events in your own subareas?
The Central Section APA Board is committed to making great things happen this year. In addition, you might know that next year, in 2021, the Central Section will be hosting the statewide “California APA Conference” here in Fresno! This is a tremendous opportunity for our Section, as we haven’t hosted a conference in Fresno since the 1970s! and the last time our Section hosted the State Conference was 2013 in Visalia. As we ramp up for the 2021 Conference, we will be seeking members from throughout our region to help organize mobile workshops, session topics, and all kinds of interesting conference events.
Another goal is to communicate more frequently with our members, and across a greater variety of platforms. As such, we’re looking for your input on social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We are also thinking about producing a monthly newsletter to keep our members in the loop… More to come, but in the meantime, we encourage you to take the survey so that we can hear from YOU.
All the best,
Jennifer Clark, AICP,
Central Section Director
APA California Chapter
