Welcome to the Sixth Biennial National Law Firm Pro Bono Survey. The Survey provides a snapshot of the ‘pro bono landscape’ of law firms in Australia with 50 or more lawyers.

The information collected is compared to data from previous National Law Firm Pro Bono Surveys to provide a longitudinal study of the pro bono legal work carried out across Australia. The Centre produces an authoritative report which is disseminated throughout the legal profession, and to government and other interested parties.

Any information that you provide will be anonymous, unless you choose to identify your firm. In either case, no individual firm will be identified by name in the report and all information will be kept strictly confidential.

Signatories to the National Pro Bono Target have the option of completing their Target reporting in Section 14 of the Survey.

How to complete the Survey

Please find attached a pdf version of the full Survey for reference purposes only. We would prefer that all Survey responses are completed and submitted to the Centre via the link below.

A number of questions relate to your firm's statistics on pro bono activity in the 2017/2018 financial year, so having these close to hand when completing the Survey is vital.

Every time you click on 'Next (and Save)' your responses will be saved. Please do not use the 'Back' button on your browser, as your answers will not be saved. Instead, use the 'Previous' button in the Survey itself. Please note the defined terms when completing the Survey.

You can close and return to the Survey at any time where your previous answers will be retained, provided you use the same computer and have not cleared your browser cookies. At the end of the Survey you will have the option of receiving a PDF report of your responses.

If you wish to discuss this Survey, have any questions or would prefer to complete the Survey on paper, please do not hesitate to contact the Centre on (02) 9385 7381 or via gabriela@probonocentre.org.au.

Thank you for participating in this Survey. As a valued member of the pro bono community, your responses are important to us.
