School bus overcrowding has become an issue for the children in the Quince Orchard Park community.  Buses have between 10-15 extra kids per bus.  High School students can stand, but Middle School and Elementary School students are not; thus getting squeezed on the benches. The sitting on floor aisle was more of a bus driver solution to the middle school overcrowding issue past 2 years.

A second bus is now servicing Middle School students.  So, the overcrowding problem currently remains with the Elementary School and High School students.  While after-school activities may result in fewer kids returning home on the school bus, the overcrowding, problem more than likely will be a growing issue year after year.

This survey is being done by the Quince Orchard Park Board to gather information in order to approach MCPS about this problem.  Please help us by answering a few questions to widen options about school bus transportation.
