2026 Art & Photography Show Application |
The show will take place April 18, 8am-5pm, and April 19, 1-4pm, at the Farragut Community Center.
Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2026 Art & Photography Show! Please remember that not every submission will be eligible to be featured in the show. By submitting an application, you are agreeing to the following rules and regulations:
GENERAL INFORMATION
· Entrants will either be Adult (18 and up), Teen (13-17), or Youth (12 and under).-The show is juried, and monetary prizes will be awarded to the winners in judged categories, as well as artists' choice and people's choice.
· Each entrant can submit up to 3 pieces total. Adult entries are $15 per entry, Teen and Youth entries are free. Fees will be charged upon acceptance of application, and are required prior to display in the Art & Photography Show.
· Prize amounts are as follows:
Best in Show: $250
People’s Choice: $250
1st place in each category: $200
2nd place in each category: $125
3rd place in each category: $75
· Entries are not restricted to Farragut residents.
· Upon submitting a piece, the artist affirms that it is the original work of art and not a reproduction.
· All expenses for printing, matting, framing, etc are the participant’s obligation.
· All artwork must be able to be hung on metal art screens via frame, stretched canvas, wiring, etc. Artwork that is not able to be hung with a hook or rubber-coated clips will not be displayed in the show.
· The artist grants rights to the Town of Farragut to photograph the art show and the pieces submitted. If possible, the artists will be credited, and the artist retains copyright.
· This contest is intended for amateur artists and photographers only. A professional is considered someone whose primary income is from making and selling artwork or photography and is not eligible to enter this contest.
· Town staff and volunteers will not be responsible for any damage to the artwork or loss of artwork displayed.
· Artwork that violates or infringes upon another person’s rights, including but not limited to copyright, are not eligible. Artwork that contains sexually explicit, nude, obscene, violent or other objectionable or inappropriate content, as determined by Town staff, are ineligible for all categories.
· The Town of Farragut is not responsible for entries not following the contest guidelines and rules. Any entry deemed ineligible at the sole discretion of the judge or Town staff will be disqualified with no entry fee refund.
· By submitting an entry, the artist agrees to abide by all contest rules and waives claims of any kind against the organizers and judges of the contest. The artwork should be the invention of the artist and should not have used the internet or another resource as their inspiration.
REGULATIONS FOR PHOTOGRAPHY ENTRIES:
· Frames or mats must not exceed 36” on the long edge.
· No digitally altered entries. Minor adjustments, including sharpening, contrast, toning, slight color adjustment and conversion to grayscale are acceptable.
· No collages will be accepted. Black and white photos are acceptable.
· Photos with date stamps or watermarks will not be accepted.
REGULATIONS FOR ART ENTRIES:
· All submitted artwork must be two-dimensional and able to be hung on metal art screens
· Frames, mats or canvases must not exceed 36” on the long edge.
· No digitally enhanced entries. Photographs of artwork as an entry will not be accepted.
Artists with accepted submissions will be contacted no later than Tuesday, April 7 with drop-off instructions.
