The Wells and Area Community Association (WAACA) is a non-profit umbrella organization incorporated in April 2013. The mandate of WAACA is to be an umbrella organization which represents the interests and needs of the Community of Wells and surrounding area, to cooperate with other community groups in the area on projects of mutual interest and to undertake projects and support activities that make Wells a more resilient and viable place to live. The programs that WAACA currently operates are The Huckleberry Day Care Centre, the Wells Community Garden and the Wells Farmer’s Market as well as management of the Wells Recycling Depot.

WAACA is currently working on writing a feasibility study which will investigate the possibility of the creation of a destination Arts and Wilderness themed High School in Wells. A Wilderness high school utilizes nature and the outdoors as a large part of the students education. Being a destination high school would mean that we would cater to students from not only Wells and Quesnel but potentially anywhere in BC.

An important part of our feasibility study will be input from the Community. We thank you for taking the time to complete this survey. Your answers will be anonymous and the survey will only take about 5 minutes of your time. Please feel free to contact us if you should have nay other questions or comments.
