Scholarship Summaries and Directions

Thank you for making Washington State Community College your college of first choice! Below is a list of institutional scholarships and their basic requirements. All scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and will not automatically be applied to a student's account for meeting the minimum requirements. All scholarship decisions are made by a committee and are final.
 
Presidential Scholarship is a competitive scholarship for half-tuition (up to $2,000 per academic year). To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 or a minimum of a 23 composite score on the ACT. Candidates must also test college-ready. 

Washington Scholars Award is a competitive scholarship in the amount of full-tuition (up to $4,200 per academic year). The recipients will be selected from students who meet the criteria for the Presidential Scholarship. In addition to the requirements of the Presidential Scholarship, all students wishing to be considered for the Washington Scholars Award must submit a letter of recommendation from a non-family member. 
 
Dean's Scholarship is a competitive scholarship for $1,000 per academic year. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or a minimum of a 20 composite score on the ACT. Candidates must also test college-ready.
 
Tech Prep Scholarship is a competitive scholarship. This scholarship is non-renewable and open to Ohio residents only. Award amounts vary.

To be considered, all students must submit the following by March 15, 2018:
• Admission application
• Scholarship Application
• 2018-19 FAFSA
• Official high school transcripts showing grades through the Junior year
• Letter of Recommendation from a non-family member (only if competing for the Washington Scholars Award)
