Nebraska Wesleyan University holds an annual Lend-A-Hand to Lincoln day for all first-year students in August.  This is an opportunity for students to be introduced to an agency in the Lincoln community and do a little work to benefit others.  COVID altered the approach for the last few years and we will continue with some of the previous elements such as: focusing on outdoor projects and concentrating work in our neighborhood. Lend-A-Hand has been revised to occur on the Friday morning of orientation, the week before fall semester.

There will be opportunities for a few select projects that reflect the learning objectives of the cohort.  And depending on the project, we may be able to connect in a different manner, such as, partnering you with an academic club or honorary society. If you are interested in being considered, please give information below and we will be in contact, typically in June for Lend-A-Hand projects.

For questions please contact Shari Sorenson, Coordinator of Community Engagement and Resources, ssorenso@nebrwesleyan.edu. or 402.465.2439.  Thank you for reaching out to us!
