The Northwest Hills Council of Governments, with financial support from the Connecticut Department of Agriculture and in collaboration with Partners for Sustainable Healthy Communities, is exploring the development of a regional food hub as a way of better connecting local agricultural producers with wholesale buyers.

The form and function of the hub has not yet been determined, but it may focus on fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins and/or dairy. Your input is important and will help us gauge the level of interest among buyers for purchasing locally grown farm products, and the types of services a successful food hub should offer.

The survey results for this study will be kept strictly confidential and only published in summary form so as not to reveal information about individual respondents. The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete. Please forward the survey link to other buyers who may be interested. Thank you for your participation.

The next step in this study will be a Harvest Dinner in the fall, during which attendees will learn about results from the study and be able to inform next steps. We will contact you later this month with information about this event.
