What is mentoring?
Mentoring is a professional learning relationship where a mentor offers perspective, questions, networks and experience to support a mentee’s development. It is not line‑management, therapy, free consulting, or a job placement service. Effective partnerships are purpose‑led (your “why”) and goal‑guided (specific outcomes), with both parties sharing responsibility for preparation, meetings, follow‑through and reflection.
Time Commitment: ~1 hour/month for 6–8 months with a simple plan reviewed at the halfway point.
Conduct: Respect, confidentiality, cultural safety, and professional behaviour in line with EIANZ values and our Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct.
Privacy: Information you provide will be used by the EIANZ SEQ mentoring coordinators solely for matching and program delivery and shared with your matched partner.
