Diagnostic Imaging Safety and Quality Issues - Consumer Survey

Introduction
The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (the Commission) is speaking with consumers about quality and safety problems they have experienced with diagnostic imaging services.

Diagnostic imaging
Diagnostic imaging involves taking an image of a person’s body to help identify or monitor a medical condition. It includes:

X-ray
Ultrasound
Mammography
CT scans
MRIs
Angiography
Nuclear medicine
Fluoroscopy

Purpose
By speaking with consumers, we hope to identify safety and quality problems facing patients using diagnostic imaging services.
