About you
The Banyule Disability & Inclusion Advisory Committee provides Council with advice and information on Inclusion, Access and Equity, issues facing the people with a disability and on the development and implementation of Council’s Disability and Inclusion Plan 2017-21.
The Disability and Inclusion Advisory committee membership will consist of up to 15 community members and two Councillors. Council staff will provide support and assistance to the committee.
Community members appointed to the committee will include representation from:
· Up to 10 Banyule residents with disabilities
· Up to 3 representatives of parents and or carers of Banyule residents with disabilities
· Up to 2 representatives of disability service organisations active in Banyule

This advisory group has two-year terms for members, for 2017 and 2018. Council is currently seeking expressions of interest from interested individuals and groups / local agencies to fill two casual vacancies for 2018. There is one vacancy for a person with a disability, and one vacancy for a parent or a carer of a person with a disability. Expressions of Interest close on Wednesday 26th February 2018.
