2017 Pedestrian Priorities Survey

Intro

We are expanding to work on pedestrian issues as well as bicycling! Your thoughts will help shape our direction and our initial priorities around pedestrian issues.

We are a small office with a lot of potential directions we could invest our energy. Prioritizing our work based on what you are energized about helps us engage volunteers and make a big impact.

Please tell us what you think we should be working on this year!

Note that we had a separate survey on bicycle priorities a couple months ago--thanks for your feedback.

* 1. Broadly speaking, what do you think are the most important work areas we should be focusing on related to pedestrian work?

Providing education for drivers more about pedestrian safety

Advocating for more ticketing of drivers who break laws that endanger pedestrians

Advocating for pedestrian safety measures on streets (traffic calming, bump outs, visible crosswalks, etc.)

Working for greening/art to make sidewalks more attractive

Advocating for improved winter sidewalk clearance

Advocating for enhanced sidewalk access for people living with disabilities (wider sidewalks, better ramps, audible pedestrian stop lights, etc.)

Creating activities to inspire people to walk more, including supporting more kids walking to school
