The American Dental Association is a recognized continuing education provider by the American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (“ADA CERP”). The Health Education Council (HEC) is not an ADA CERP recognized provider of continuing education, but offers continuing education courses, including 16 (sixteen) oral health credit hours (which includes 4 credit hours for Dental Cessation Training) (“Oral Health CE Course”), directly to health professionals at the 8th National Summit on Smokeless and Spit Tobacco on April 18-20, 2016 (HEC’s Conference”). The purpose of this Agreement is to formally acknowledge the obligations of the ADA and HEC as joint providers of continuing education programs provided during in accordance with the ADA CERP "Joint Providership Policy" and "ADA CERP Recognition Standards and Procedures," so that the HEC can issue the verification of participation for the Oral Health CE Courses.
